MPlayer OSX Extended - Video player for Mac OS X
On one of my random searches for something probably not even related to this, I came across various sites vocalizing their dislike for VLC media player. Can’t say I’ve experienced first hand why they would have such dislike for the player.
However, most suggested using MPlayer OSX Extended
Not to be confused with the regular Mplayer OSX. And I quote:
“MPlayer OS X (Bad/Evil)
An ancient build of MPlayer wrapped in an ugly interface with poor settings that won’t support many of today’s files. Avoid at all costs. Not to be confused with MPlayer OSX Extended (see above).”
Be sure to use Mplayer OSX Extended. I will be giving it a try and see what all the hoopla is about!
